For two years in a row I have been blessed to be part of a church that is “different.” Not different in the way that we worship or the way that we “do church” on the weekends, but for the way we do church on the last weekend in the month of June. We don’t gather to sing or pray, (although there was singing and praying involved at some sites) we don’t even open our Bible or listen to a sermon.

No, we do church differently, in that we go into our community and we help out those who are in need. Some are elderly, some are physically unable and some are just strapped for time and resources, but they all need help. As a pastor this is the highlight of my year. Watching our church, young and old, go out into our community and show them the love of God by serving them. When we give of ourselves it is the best way to model Jesus. This is a very “different” way to worship God but one that we will always do as long as I am the pastor of C3. Thank you to all that came out and helped! I am very proud of you all.

“But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must become your slave. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

-Matthew 20:26-28
