Troy and Lina Asher

Troy Asher, the lead pastor of Cornerstone Community Church, was born and raised in Sacramento, California. He has been married to his lovely wife Lina since May 1992.  They have four amazing children–Troy II, Lisa (wife of Troy II), Krista, and Rachel. Troy and Lina have two grandchildren, Taelynn and Elleah. In 2013 they had the privilege of adding Brooke House to their family as one of their daughters.

In 2000, Troy moved to Washington state for a job promotion with a trucking company where he worked until 2006. Troy, left that position to follow his passion for ministry and started serving as a Youth Pastor at Real Life Family Center in Tacoma, WA. While at Real Life Family Center he studied four years with INSTE (Institute Of Theology By Extension) and eventually became the Discipleship Pastor. Troy has a passionate gift for teaching God’s Word in a way that is understandable and applicable. He loves to help people grow in their relationship with Christ. He enjoys empowering and equipping leaders as they discover the purpose that God has for their lives. Troy and Lina enjoy spending their time together on the golf course where they share the same passion for living an active lifestyle.

Danny and Vashti Makupson

Danny, an Elder at Cornerstone Community Church, was born and raised in Spartanburg, South Carolina. His wife, Vashti was born in Tucson, Arizona. Although they both moved to Washington at different times, they met in 2002 while attending Community Bible Fellowship in Renton.  Neither Danny nor Vashti grew up in the church.  They both had the privilege of becoming grateful believers in the Lord Jesus Christ during their adult years. Danny in 2000 and Vashti in 2001. They got married in August 2002 and began to blend a family.  They have 8 wonderful children: Tamekia, Marqui, Dalamar, Mariah, Myeisha, Uriah, Elisha, and Danny Jr.

Danny and Vashti have earned their degree from Liberty University. Danny studied Christian Counseling. Vashti studied Christian Counseling and Life Coach. Danny currently works as a Chemical Dependency Professional where he helps people with drug and alcohol addictions. Danny and Vashti are passionate about the word of God and believe in the power of healing and restoration in marriages. Reading, teaching, and talking about God are some of Danny’s favorite things to do. Vashti enjoys spending time with friends, encouraging those who are weary or hurting and empowering women to grow in their faith.  They both are passionate about helping people understand the word of God and how it applies to their lives.

Kevin and Dawn Kreischer

Kevin was born in Indiana where he lived the first six years of his life. His family then moved to Washington in 1979. Kevin grew up in the Puyallup area where he graduated from Puyallup High School. He now lives in Puyallup with the love of his life, Dawn, who he met while in high school. Kevin and Dawn have been married since 1993. Together they have four amazing young men – Nicholas, Kyle and the twins, Caleb and Donavin. Kevin enjoys backpacking, motorsports, and most of all, BBQ! One of Kevin’s biggest passions is family. It is his heart’s desire to not only build a healthy family of his own, but to equip, build, and support solid Christ-centered marriages and families throughout our community.  Dawn enjoys coffee dates with friends, crafting and investing in the next generation.  She spent 16 years in public education ranging from Head Start, Autism preschool, and lower elementary Montessori.  Equipping the next generation is a deep passion for Dawn.

Scott and Karen Spackman

Scott has been married to his beautiful bride Karen for 21 years. They have two wonderful daughters, Amanda and Ashley, both 21. Scott and Karen both grew up in Sacramento, California. They were married in 1992 and moved to Washington in 1993 in search of steady construction work. Scott works as a salesman at Huttig Building Products. He likes bowling, cars, and loves hiking with his wife. Scott is an elder and the Men’s Ministry Leader at Cornerstone Community Church. Scott is passionate about helping men in the community reach their potential to be better husbands, fathers, and brothers by examining who they are according to the Creator’s original design.

Pat and Janet Caldon

Pat Caldon, an Elder at Cornerstone Community Church and a lifetime resident of Washington State, has been married to his wife Janet since October 1981. Pat and Janet have 3 children, Jessica, Graeme, and Rachel (with Jesus). Pat works as a sales associate with MSC Industrial Supply. He enjoys the outdoors, singing, movies, and most of all, people. He loves to share the design and detail of God’s Word, as he watches it empower and transform people’s lives.

Donivan and Kelley Taylor

Donivan Taylor was born in Tacoma, Washington and grew up and lived here most of his life. He graduated from Spanaway Lake High School in 1996 and went to school to study business and accounting at the University of Idaho, where he met his beautiful wife Kelley at Bible study. Kelley was born in southern California and moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho at age 10. There she enjoyed skiing, playing tennis and singing in

Kelley was born in southern California and moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho at age 10. There she enjoyed skiing, playing tennis and singing in choir. She studied English at the University of Idaho and worked in social services for several years. A job offer for Donivan brought them back to the area.

Donivan and Kelley have been married since June 2001 and have two wonderful children, Ethan and Eliana. Donivan has the heart to teach and see people grow and develop spiritually and naturally. He enjoys teaching Bible studies as well as financial seminars. Kelley monkeys around on the computer, pretending she’s a graphic designer, and she also enjoys photography. Together, they enjoy hosting people at their home and blessing others.

Alejo and Michelle Herrera

Alejo was born at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky while his dad was stationed there in the Army.  Michelle was born at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio while her father was stationed there with the Air Force. Alejo and Michelle’s families moved to the Tacoma area where they met in June 1986.  Michelle and Alejo graduated from Spanaway Lake High School (Alejo in 1989 and Michelle in 1991).

In April 1994 they decided to follow Christ and were married a month later.   Alejo and Michelle have a beautiful daughter Bryanne who lives in the area with their granddaughter Makenna, and a handsome son, Alejo, who is currently a corpsman in the Navy.

Alejo works at St Clare Hospital in Lakewood as a CT tech and is excited to share the love of Jesus while caring for each patient. After several years in the public sector, Michelle now enjoys watching her granddaughter and learning as much as she can in the INSTE program at C3. They both love to serve others, travel, hike and just enjoy life.

Alejo and Michelle are also very active leaders in Catalyst, C3’s Youth Ministry.  They love teaching God’s word to young people and showing His love in practical ways.
